Basement Refresh Project

This basement project was a lot of fun, as we were incorporating the same design style with a twist from the rest of the house. The client wanted to introduce a new ‘Carmel’ colour to their existing white furniture aesthetics. We included golds, whites and light wood tones that would flow beautifully. The existing luxury vinyl flooring remained as is and was added to the basement a few years ago during another renovation, however added a plushy/cozy rug to the space. The new linear electric fireplace wall was added on a bumped out 6-8” faux wall where we were able to add two sconce lighting and a TV built-in. We used beautiful prefabbed maple wood slats with a black background, and had tiled the fireplace wall from floor to ceiling. We were able to incorporate the other areas of the rec room with a media space where music and TV were the theme of the space.
